The End!

Late yesterday afternoon,
I sat in the dentist office watching the sun go down
on the final day of Fall 2012.
It was a beautiful moment –
to observe the setting sun through the solar window screen.
The fading light, filtered through the screen,
produced a rather dramatic effect.
Yesterday was the end of Fall…
and also THE END of the Mayan Calendar(!!)
Ha ha!!
According to Scripture,
God has a lot left to do with human history
before He destroys part of His old creation
and replaces it with new heavens and a new earth.
It’s not for us to predict His timetable,
but to be obedient and faithful to Him
during the remaining days He gives us
in which to live out our earthly lives.
