Happy Handwashing!! :)

Healthcare providers are recommending we
wash our hands with soapy water for at least 20 seconds,
in order to prevent the spread of cold and flu germs, and other illnesses.
Some of them suggest we
sing the song “Happy Birthday”
all the way through twice,
in order to cover at least 20 seconds’ worth of hand-washing!

I learned this little trick from the assisted-living nurses
who took care of my mother many years ago.
Most anyone of any age can sing this familiar song.
If you’re teaching this procedure to an elderly person or a small child,
you might suggest that he or she sing “Happy Birthday”
once to the left hand — and then again to the right hand(!)
;)

This is one more tool we can use to help stay healthy
during the cold and flu season!
If you know of anyone who might benefit from this information,
please feel free to copy or download it
(for personal use only, of course!)
and pass it along.

I hope you stay well, my friends!!
:)

A good reminder!! We all need to be doing this! Flu season or not, I get disgusted when people leave the restroom without washing :(

    {I know that hand……hehe :) }
