These plumeria were grown by one of our neighbors. They are beautiful and very fragrant.
Our neighbor gave us a small starter plant several years ago (see fourth image down), so maybe one of these days we’ll be able to photograph our own blooms!
Each plumeria lives in a plastic pot buried in the ground. In the fall, before the temperature gets near to freezing, we remove the plant (pot and all), cut off all the leaves, and lay the pruned tree down on its side in the garage for the winter. In the spring, after the last frost, we bring it out of dormancy and put the potted tree back in the yard.
