We’ve never been to “The Big Apple.” This weekend, the “big” apple came to us!
Our favorite apple is the Honeycrisp, but we have never seen anything this large before! Since this was the only size available in the supermarkets last week, I bought only three. I didn’t want to invest in too many until we found out if they were sweet, crispy, and firm inside. It turns out they are just as good as the “normal” size Honeycrisps.
I went online to see what I could read about these. They are grown in the USA. (That’s a plus!) There is a www.Honeycrisp.com website that has lots of info. They have a FB page, too! http://www.facebook.com/Honeycrispapple They even have a program for free shipping of their apples to soldiers.
Anyway, if you haven’t ever seen apples this big, you might want to take a look!
