“Worn”
applies to a lot of things around our house (ha!)
and also to the subjects of many of my photos.
I hope you’ll enjoy the ones I chose to post here.

Rusty old bridge, still part of a busy highway -- worn by years of harsh weather, and perhaps deteriorated more by pollution from the traffic.

Worn by a conch...and then worn a bit more by the wave action in the Gulf of Mexico.

Shortcut path worn through the woods by school children...I think they take the slow way to school via the sidewalk, and then beat a path home the quick way when school is out(!)

Our down-under pot -- beautiful patina worn by weathering.

My great uncle rocked in this little chair...and then my mother...and then my siblings and I...and then our children -- It's over 100 years old -- I love the many worn spots where little bodies, legs, and feet rubbed back and forth. =)

Worn by a cicada nymph before it emerged from this shell as an adult to entertain us with song!

Wooden fence worn by weather...Some boards worn so badly they had to be replaced, so my husband made bluebird houses out of them.

Worn by the first "Aubie-the-Tiger" mascot for Auburn University. Pardon the glare, but there's no way to get a good picture without a reflection on the glass case in which it's displayed...Also a little reflection of me on the right side, but I didn't notice that 'til I got home and put the pictures on the computer!

Taken through sunny car window with reflections, but you can still see how worn the road is. How much more do you think this 'patch' of road can be patched??

Work gloves, worn by my husband -- and very worn from lots of honey-do projects! =)

Our favorite pooch -- following a fun afternoon at the park -- worn OUT !!!
