Glad that football season has arrived! College football is my favorite sport. 
It was a great season-opener weekend for the SEC!! (And wasn’t it a welcomed break from politics for a few days?!!) If it hadn’t been for Oklahoma State’s win, our SEC teams would have had a perfect record! I hope the victories will continue, as the schedules get tougher.
I have been thinking about our enthusiasm for these games. The records, win or lose, will be for just a season — and then the teams will start over with a clean slate, for a new year of competition.
Just think what we could accomplish for the Kingdom of God — where our record will last for ETERNITY — if we could harness this same fervor and passion for accomplishing God’s will in our lives! Hmmm — something to think about while we look ahead to next week’s schedule…
