Keepin’ Your Cool

I’m not in the habit of recommending products on my blog, but this one has been so helpful to me that I want to share it with you!  It’s called a “Chilly Pad” by “Frogg Toggs.” This neat cooling pad is made of a machine-washable chamois-type material and is cool to the touch when wet.

Our daughter and son-in-law gave us Chilly Pads for Christmas – and we are putting them to good use, now that the heat and humidity of summer have arrived.  I wear mine around my neck on our three-mile walks most every evening; my husband wears his when doing yard work on the weekends.

These towels absorb sweat and help to keep us cool.  When they begin to dry out, we add a little water from a water bottle or water hose – and they feel cool again immediately.

Chilly Pads are sold in many sports stores and are also available online.  If you don’t have a product like this – and you participate in any type of hot-weather workout – I highly recommend you take a look!  :)
